2.Fiber CMS – ONT + Gigaspire setup

Client ports on E7 need to have vlan 85 and 400 added to the E7 AE Port. Right now each port is setup with a tag action for the existing ONTs to match vlan 85 and change it to vlan 400 so the device gets an IP address on vlan 400 and will connect to calix cloud.  The tag action on VLAN 85 to 400 is the setup for the Gigacenters.  The changes below are to setup the port for the Gigaspire with an external ONT.

Most of the ports on the C7’s are setup with the VLAN config already.  Only time that we would need to complete the first part of this is if we are changing a customer over to an ONT with a gigaspire from a gigacenter.  The way to tell is look at VLANS under Associated Interfaces of the port you are working on.  If it is setup for a gigacenter it will show an association type of tagaction with an associated VLAN of 400 : Internet.  If it is setup for a gigaspire with an ONT it will show 2 entries.  Each will have an association type of vlanmem and one each Association VLAN of 85 : AE_BOOT and 400 : Internet.

We will need to change the port so that it has vlan 85 and 400 added as regular vlans.

Follow these steps to remove the tag actions is they are there

1. First delete the existing vlan “tag action on the port” under ASSOCIATED INTERFACE.
2. Click on the tag actions tab
3. Click on the tag action
4. Click on delete in the menu bar
5. Click Delete on te menu box that comes up.

It will ask you to confirm. So select DELETE

Now we need to add VLAN 85 and 400 to the port.

1. To Add vlans to a port click on Vlans on the left side of the menu and you will see the vlans.
2. Click on either vlan 85 or 400.

3. Select Action-Add/Remove VLAN Members

4. Select the interface you want on the left and click the arrow to move it over to the right then click OK

 After clicking arrow it will show up on right.

5. Then Click OK and Confirm to add the port to the VLAN
6. Make sure that you perform the preceding steps for both VLAN 85 and 400

Data SERVICE PROVISIONING.

If it is already installed and it booted correctly it should show up under the port and you will be able to provision it but if not you will need to create the ONT in CMS

Follow these steps to create the ONT in CMS

1. Click AE ONTs on far left bottom of the tree.
2. Verify the ONT is not listed. If not move forward with adding ONT
3. Click Create and fill out the form. Make sure to fill in all of the following
   1. ONT ID (CXNK number)
   2. Location – Leave on Autodiscoverd
   3. Subscriber ID – Enter the customers VISP account number
   4. Description – Enter customers name
   5. ONT Profile – Select the model number of the ONT (should be (716GE)
   6. Provisioned Firmware – Only option available 10.7.120.17 (CALIX_700GE_10.7.120.17)
   7. Externally Provisioned – N
   8. Bandwidth Metering – VLAN
   9. PWE3 Configuration – T1
   10. Time zone – American / Denver (GMT-7:0)
   11. Enable Shaping – System Default
   12. Template – System Default

Once this is complete you can see the new ONT and double click it to add services.

 Once it is up and running it should be discovered on boot and will show up under the port. Here you can update Subscriber ID and Description.

CREATE SERVICES

1. Click on services tab and click on Create and select Data service from the drop down.
2. In this window select the Subscriber Port GE-1
3. Update subscriber ID and Description
   1. Subscriber ID will be VISP account number
   2. Description will be customers name
4. Select Service Name: Data1
5. Select BW Profile : Customers provisioned speed
6. Select Service Tag Action @Data_400
7. Make sure boxes are checked for DHCP Snooping, MAC Forced Forwarding, IP Src Verify, and Multicast Filtering then click Create.

8. Once that is done click Action – Sync and Reboot . This will sync the config on the server and reboot ONT so it gets new config file.
9. While the ONT is rebooting on the Provisioning tab of the ONT enter the Customers name under Description and enter the Customer visp account number under Subscriber ID.
10. Also enter this information on the Port under Associated interfaces.

Once it has initial config you should be able to dynamically change the config and reboot is not needed for each change.

Once the ONT shows that it is back up you should see a MAC table entry for VLAN 85 and that will be the ONT and one for VLAN 400 that will be for the gigaspire.
